Qualifications

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Minimum of two years' Class A CDL license/driving experience
• Experience moving construction equipment preferred
• Knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to commercial vehicles
• No more than 3 moving violations and no DUIs within a two-year rolling period
• Must pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
• Satisfactory criminal history check
• Must hold/obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
• Must provide US work authorization documents for E-Verify

Position Tasks

• Operate an automatic semi with full-frame dump trailer
• Haul material to and from job sites
• Use a hand shovel to dig and clean up soil, sand, and gravel as needed
• Load and unload equipment and materials as needed
• Perform daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections
• Keep a daily mileage log
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment

Physical Requirements

• Distinguish safety colors with 20/20 eyesight, corrective lenses permitted
• Ability to speak and hear worksite safety instructions
• Withstand prolonged and repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs, including overhead), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling
• Ability to work with heightened awareness within the "red zone" of heavy equipment
• Quick and accurate hand-eye coordination
